This is an Arabic poem I wrote in 2009 (when I was 14 years old, so please forgive the grammatical errors) composed in a mix of both Fus'ha (Classical) and Egyptian Arabic.

ﻭ فى ﺍﻠﺩﻥﻳﺎ ده عجيبة - Wa fid-dunya da ‘ajeebah – And in this strange world

كل الخافٌ والخبيثة - Kul al-khaafun wal khabeethah – It is all fear and bad things

يا رجل انظر ﻋﻠﯿﺔ - Ya rajul unzhur 'alayya – O you man that I see

ليس السعيد أو حماسة - Laysas sa’eed ao hamaasa – There is no happiness or joy

بقى الغريبين والسغيرينة - Baqal-ghareebeen was-sagheereena – There are just the poor and the little ones

ليس النورة أو منيرة - Laysan-noorah ao munirah – There is no light or lamp

بقى الظاماتٌ كثيرا - Baqazh-zholomatun kathira – There is just a lot of darkness

عيني لم ينظرا - ‘Aynee lam yanzhara – My eyes cannot see

قد كان قلبي يحيا - Qad kana qulbee yahya – Surely, my heart was alive

بل يموتٌ جدً الآنا - Bal yamootun jiddan al-aana – But now has quickly died

لم هذا لا أعرفا - Lima hadha, Laa ‘arifa – Why this has happened, I do not know

لى الناس في الدنيا ده عجيبة - Lin-nas fid-dunya da ‘ajeebah – To the people in this strange world

أقلت لا تتعال إلى الظلمة - Aqultu laa tata’al ilazh-zhelmah – I say not to go to darkness

لا تذهب لى الكهفة - Laa tadhahabu lil-kahfa – Do not go forth to the cave

راح إلى ﺍﻠﺴﻤﺂﺋﻨﻭﺭﺓ - Rah-ilasamaa’un-noorah – Go towards the illuminated sky

إن الدمعة بدم من العينينا - Innad-dam’aa bidam minal-‘aynayna – Surely, tears are flowing from our eyes

يا رجل انظر ﻋﻠﯿﺔ - Ya rajul unzhur 'alayya – O you man that I see

لا تحزً يا أخوي والصاحبي - Laa tahzan ya akhooee was-sahibee – Do not be sad, my brother, my friend

سوف روحنا مطهرة - Soufa roohinah mutahara – Soon, our spirits shall be purified

لا مع ﺍﻠﺸﻴﺊ احزً فيها - Laa ma’ash-shayy’un ahzan feeha – Without any sad thing therein

ﺠﺎﺃ ﺍﻠﻤﺼﻴﺢ - Jaa' al-masih – The Messiah has come

ﺠﺎﺃ ﺍﻠﻤﺼﻴﺢ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻠﺩﻥﻳﺎ ده عجيبة - Jaa' al-masih 'alad-dunya da 'ajeebah – The Messiah has come upon this earth

ﺍﻠﺍﻣﺎﻢ ﺍﻠﻭﻗتٌ ﻕﺭﻳﺒﺔ - al-imam-ul-waqtun was-sa'atun qareebah – The leader of the time and approaching Hour
